mtg exiled cards Do I have to pay the CMC for the or if an opponent loses life then I can just play the card? : r/magicTCG the Gathering (MTG) trading and collectible card game (TCG/CCG) Does this mean I can
Description
Upgrading the deck isnt a simple task either, since Amber Ruby hasnt been a strong meta choice in a while and the starter lacks many of the cards needed for it to compete

And while there are some pretty good Steel cards in this deck, all this deck really wants to do is have damaged opponent characters on the board

It can be used not only in a defensive way, clearing annoying ETBs or powerful abilities, but also in an offensive way, making Deaths Shadow 13/13 or Kroxa, Titan of Deaths Hunger a two mana 6/6

Versatility was sacrificed in shaving off 2 mana, so it only answers cheap permanents, but that works plenty well in Constructed formats where 3 mana is expensive

These cards interact really well with other cards as well: Archfiend of Ifnir puts -1/-1 counters on each creature our opponents control whenever we discard or recycle another card
Of course the squirrel does care slightly for squirrels, so if you make a new squirrel token with the last ability, you get two instead
