Description
Let us see it
Released in 2008's Great Encounters, the Pokmon was so critical to the meta, if you didn't have a Claydol to stick in your deck, your opponent was guaranteed to run rings around you
During your opponent's next turn, any damage done by attacks from the Defending Pokemon is reduced by 30 (before applying Weakness and Resistance)
Decks without red or white are hungry for this kind of effect
Both of the effects are bit underpowered, but the versatility makes it a worthwhile play
In late December of 2020, a PSA 9 sold for approximately $47,000
